Effective date: October 2026. Cumberland Tree Pros (cumberlandtreepros.com) is a free referral service. We connect homeowners in Fayetteville and Cumberland County, North Carolina with independent, locally owned tree service companies. We are not a tree company and do not do tree work ourselves. This policy explains in plain language what information we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a quote request form on our site, we collect what you type in:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Street address, city, state and ZIP code
• Job type, such as tree removal or stump grinding
• Any message you add about the job

We also record which page you submitted the form from. For example, it might be a page about tree services in Fayetteville or one of our town pages. This helps us understand what kind of help you need.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server keeps basic technical logs. These logs can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visited and the time of your visit.

Cookies

Our site runs on WordPress, and our web host provides the hosting. Both use cookies and similar tools so the site works properly and loads quickly, such as for caching. These cookies are used for site function, not to build an advertising profile of you.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Send your request to tree companies. We pass your request to independent tree service companies that serve your area. They can then contact you about your job by phone, text message or email. This can include automated calls or texts, as you agreed to when you submitted the form.
• Run and improve the site. We use it to keep pages working, fix problems and see which content is helpful, such as our tree care guides.
• Prevent spam and abuse. We use it to block fake submissions, bots and misuse of the form.

How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in these situations:

• With tree service companies. We share your form details with local tree pros who serve your location. Those companies are independent businesses, not part of Cumberland Tree Pros. Once they receive your information, their own privacy practices apply.
• With service providers. We share information with companies that help us run the site. This includes our web host and the tools that process and deliver form submissions.
• When the law requires it. We may disclose information to comply with a law, court order or valid legal request. We may also disclose it to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell your information to data brokers.

Your Choices

• Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts from that sender. You may need to do this separately for each company that texts you.
• Ask us to delete your information. Submit the form on our get a quote page and write “privacy request” in the message box. Include the name, phone or email you used before so we can find your records. We will delete the information we hold.
• Contact tree companies directly. We cannot delete copies that tree companies already received. To have those removed, ask each company that contacted you.
• Manage cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep form submissions only as long as we reasonably need them. That includes the time needed to route your request, follow up on how the referral went, prevent spam and meet legal or record-keeping needs. After that, we delete the information or make it anonymous. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then removed on a regular schedule.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging tree work on property they own or manage. It is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has submitted information, send a privacy request and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, such as secure connections and limited access to form data. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not include sensitive details in the message box, such as financial or government ID numbers.

Other Websites

Our pages may link to other websites, and tree companies may send you links of their own. We are not responsible for how other sites or businesses handle your information. Review their policies before sharing details with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after an update, the revised policy applies.
